The Kopili Hydro Electric Project, located at Umarangso in the state of Assam, is one of the oldest and most significant hydroelectric installations in Northeast India, contributing substantially to the regional power grid. This project involves comprehensive civil restoration works aimed at reviving and reinforcing the plant’s aging infrastructure to restore its full operational capacity and ensure long-term structural integrity and power generation efficiency.

The scope of civil works covers the rehabilitation of critical components including intake structures, water conveyance systems, powerhouse buildings, and associated hydraulic structures that have deteriorated over decades of continuous operation and exposure to the challenging riverine environment of the Kopili River.
