This project encompasses the improvement and upgradation of the existing two-lane bypass to a full six-lane divided highway from Km 403.100 to Km 433.000 (Design Chainage 402.600 to 433.200) on the Hubli-Dharwad Bypass section of NH-48 (formerly NH-4) in the state of Karnataka, executed on EPC mode. Spanning approximately 30 kilometres, this upgradation is part of the broader development of NH-48, one of India’s most heavily trafficked national highways connecting Mumbai to Chennai via Pune, Bengaluru, and the key twin cities of Hubli and Dharwad.

The six-laning will dramatically increase the road’s carrying capacity, reduce traffic congestion at one of Karnataka’s most industrially active urban agglomerations, and improve safety through grade-separated interchanges, service roads, and modern highway amenities.
